Description

Poncho liners were originally fielded by the US Army and quickly became a much loved piece of equipment. Soon after, soldiers affectionately named them a 'woobie'. Poncho liners are water resistant and warm quilted blankets that can be tied into a poncho or used on their own. These olive drab woobies are made from polyester with a synthetic filling.

Considered by troops to be one of their most versatile pieces of equipment. The poncho liner can be used as a make-shift sleeping bag, shelter, survival blanket, camo hide or ground sheet. The eight ties - one each corner and side - allow you to attach it to a poncho or tie it to a tree for shelter. Grab yourself a woobie for a home emergency kit, camping or hiking.

Features:

  • Ripstop polyester in a quilted pattern
  • Dries quickly when wet
  • Versatile
  • 8 ties around the corners and sides
  • Carry bag included

Great liner that's warm and long lasting

I've been using my poncho liner for the last two years as my blanket when a sleeping bag and/or wool blanket are just too much (pretty normal in SE Queensland).

I run pretty hot and this longer is warm but not stifling. Used with the poncho it makes for a nice little sleeping burrito that'll shed most normal rain and heavy dews.

I don't see any sign of wear yet. One caveat though, it doesn't have a head hole so you can't actually use it to wear as a poncho liner but honestly you'd probably sweat to death in Australia if you did 😆
