Description
Originally designed in 1952, the latest variant of the Egyptian flag was adopted in 1984. A tricolour flag consisting of red, white and black, this format has become an inspiration for other Arab countries using the same colours (Iraq, Yemen, Syria etc). The main difference being the flag of Egypt sports the eagle of Saladin in the centre.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
