This most recent flag was adopted in 2013 but many flags prior to this were similar in design. The main thing in common is the symbolism in the colours: black to show the countries dark history under the British Empire. The red colour for the blood spilt for independence and the green for agricultural prosperity or Islam.

The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
