Description
The somewhat obscure and partly forgotten French made MAT-49 SMG saw widespread usage in the First Indochina & Algerian Wars. To keep them spewing lead down range, the French designed these 5 cell mag pouches.
These pouches were kept pretty simple for use in the colonies. A single large top flap secures the magazines with dual snap domes. Within there are 5 individual cells so you won't fumble them around when under pressure. You can mount the pouch on a belt up to 6.5cm wide with dual belt loops at the rear or alternatively one really large single 21cm loop. Another great feature is a detachable sling - you wear this is an impromptu bandoleer and pass it around when someone needs a large top up in a hurry (we believe the slings provided are of Swedish/non-French origin). Who knows what stories each one of these pouches could contain from as far back as the 1950's!
